Relationships are difficult. Even the best relationships encounter rocky seas, and it can be difficult to admit your relationship needs help. No matter what phase of relationship you’re in – dating and ready to take things to the next level, engaged and looking towards marriage, newly married or those together for decades – marriage and couple therapy can help get things back on track.
Some couples wait until things have become serious and seek counseling with urgency. In other cases one or both partners may be contemplating ending the relationship, or infidelity, addiction, or mental health is involved.
Others may simply want to fine tune their relationship and learn ways to go from good to great. Regardless of what is currently happening in your relationship, I’m here to help.
In addition to using a variety of relationship-based resources and methods, I practice Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an empirically validated approach to couple therapy with proven effectiveness to create lasting relationship change. EFT is based on the attachment theory of adult love and human emotions. Whatever your reason for seeking couple therapy, I am trained to help with a variety of presenting concerns.
