Sarah Frost
Meet Sarah Frost,
LPC Clinical Trainee
Welcome! I’m Sarah and I am a graduate student at Northwest Nazarene University completing my master’s degree in counseling as well as the requirements for licensure in the state of Idaho as a mental health clinician (LPC; Licensed Professional Counselor) and am under the supervision of a Board-approved licensed supervisor (Susan Martin, LMFT). I also teach computer science at Boise State University.
I work with individual adults, children, and families. I approach counseling from a parts-informed narrative perspective. We cannot always choose the major events in our lives, but we can choose what role those events will have in the story of our lives. How we go about choosing which events to fit where in our stories depends on when those events occurred and where we are in our lives now. I work with clients in all stages of life from childhood through late adulthood.
Clinically, I incorporate many modalities including:
IFS (Internal Family Systems) informed “parts” work
Play therapy
Art therapy
Sand tray
Music therapy
Poetry therapy
Clinical hypnosis
Mindfulness practices
I believe change and healing are available to everyone, and I am privileged to be a part of your journey – a journey where you choose the destination and goals.
My role as a counselor is to help and support you on your journey.
