Therapy Investment
Invest in yourself, your relationships, and your future.
You are worth it.
Therapy is absolutely an investment of time, energy and money. My fee is $155 for individuals per 50 minute session. Sessions can be held weekly or every other week depending on your needs and goals.
I reserve your appointment time just for you. By carefully limiting the number of clients I choose to work with at any given time, it allows me to serve you best.
As a therapist, it’s essential to live what I teach my clients. I take your investment seriously and do all that I can behind the scenes and outside of our counseling sessions so I may serve you better, including staying abreast of advancements in my field through reading, networking, studying, holding and attending advanced trainings, gathering new resources and uniquely preparing for each of our times together.
Cancellation policy: Cancellation or rescheduling of sessions must be made **at least 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE**. Late cancellations will be charged at the regular hourly fee of $155 to your credit card. This policy is strictly enforced and I thank you for your understanding. In the event of an unavoidable conflict or emergency we may be able to make other arrangements to avoid the cancellation fee.
When you enter into therapy with me, I commit to you.
I ask you to be equally invested.
ready to get started?
Contributing to yourself and your future is worth every effort.
An Important Note:
I do not accept health insurance.
Susan Martin Therapy and Wellness is a self-pay private practice and I am considered an out-of-network (OON) provider. I do not work with or collect payment from insurance companies.
In order to provide you with the best care possible and truly prioritize your needs while maintaining 100% confidentiality, you and I need to have complete control over your care, not an insurance company.
Insurance companies often only provide coverage for services that they consider “medically necessary” and this can be very limiting to your care. Using insurance requires that a mental health diagnosis be put on your permanent health record. Insurance companies can use this to increase your insurance premiums or possibly deny you coverage in the future. Additionally, without the control of an insurance company dictating how I offer my state-licensed clinical skills, I can explore innovative therapy approaches, highly tailor my services to your specific needs, and focus on your overall wellness, not just mental illness.
I am also happy to discuss this with you further if you like. It’s important to me that all your questions are answered and understood.
I accept credit/debit card payments (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), or HSA cards. A credit/debit card is required to have on file and is provided by you on intake paperwork/forms prior to our first session. All payments are due at time of service.
Good Faith Estimate
All clients have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
